Weigh the camper, stickers, destination, etc.

On the road again

Last weekend I brought the camper to Spanbroek, where friends and family could admire the camper. That was great fun and I'm glad I was able to do that. Mika had two friends over in Drenthe and also had a nice weekend.

Tomorrow I will drive to Spanbroek one last time to bring my car there and to say goodbye to family. After that I will go to Drenthe with my parents and then I really won't go to Spanbroek anymore...

Instagram stickers

Saturday morning we put the Instagram stickers on the camper. The idea is that people driving behind us or parked next to us can scan the QR code and get to our social media pages.

Weighing the camper

Yesterday we weighed the camper, and.... we weigh, including us, 3,360kg! (We're allowed a maximum weight of 3,500kg.) So that's not too bad. There will be a bike carrier with two bikes on the back, but if all goes well we won't exceed 3,500kg.

The last week

Now it really is the last week. We are almost done with all the preparations, but that also includes picking the destination! We want to drive in the direction of Switzerland/northern Italy. Then we can decide from there whether to drive towards Spain or Italy. Today I will start mapping out the route(s) to see where we can and cannot drive (because of the diesel camper and environmental zones) and to find the first camper places.
