Switzerland, toll roads and Italians....

Meanwhile, we arrived in beautiful Italy through Switzerland, where we have already visited beautiful locations.

Luzern, Switzerland

After our stop in France, we drove on to Switzerland. There we camped in a location near a starting point of hiking trails. We were very lucky with where we stood; when we drove to the other side of the mountain in the morning to fill up with water, it was completely snowed under there.

Airolo, Switzerland

We realized that our camper doesn't do very well in the cold; we slept with two pairs of pants and two sweaters because the heater was struggling. At this location we slept next to a ski elevator, which was still very busy.

Feltre, Italy

At last we are in Italy! On the way to Italy, we encountered the first toll roads. Because we don't have a toll vignette, we have to go through a gate every time where you have to pay, of course. We didn't understand a thing and were stressed because everything was in Italian and because they don't speak English here. Luckily it all worked out and we arrived at our destination; Feltre. This is where Mika goes every October to paraglide. So it is not unknown to him, which is nice. We had a lovely walk here and took beautiful pictures. It is very nice here; people are friendly, there are enough facilities for the camper, and nature is very beautiful. Unfortunately, the weather is not so good, but fortunately it is dry. Only at night it rains and tonight a lot of rain is expected. Unfortunately, this applies to all of Italy, so we will stay in Feltre for now.

Quiet roads

Along the way we noticed that there are not many other RVers yet, but we are certainly not the only ones. Every time we arrive at a new sleeping place, we still hope that there is another camper, because that still gives a nicer feeling. After all, wild camping is not always appreciated in Italy.

New routine

We both find that we are still searching for a routine in our days. Our days now look like this: breakfast, drive to a nice spot, clean up camper (fill water, empty water, etc), look for a place to sleep, look for jobs, sleep. In addition, every day we have some problems with the heater, which does not stay on consistently. Also, the refrigerator went out last night, so we had to throw away some meat.

Fortunately, we both remain positive and are still enjoying ourselves!
