After rain comes sunshine!

We have been in Borso del Grappa for a few days now and it is wonderful!

Sent away

Mika already knew a place where many paragliders fly, so we wanted to go there. And indeed; a lot of gliders fly here which looks very beautiful. The landing field is located next to a hotel. The hotel has two large parking lots, one with RV parking and one for cars up to 2 meters high. We were in the parking lot for cars that day and sat in the sun all day watching paragliders along with three more RVs. The other campers stayed there to spend the night. So could we, we thought. But around 8 p.m. there was a knock on the hood asking if we wanted to park somewhere else. It was namely not allowed to spend the night here. Unfortunately there are few camper places in this area, so we went looking. After three other unsuccessful camper spots, we had found a place, but it was high in the mountains, in the middle of nature. At the bottom of the mountain was a sign that said the gradient: 8 - 10% (that's pretty tough...). After standing still and hesitating for five minutes, we decided to try it anyway. Unfortunately, after the second hairpin, the camper skidded and we had to drive back. At 10:00 pm we were finally at a familiar spot by the water in Feltre.

Borso del Grappa

Yesterday we did sleep in the parking lot near the landing field, but Mika went to the hotel reception first. There they told us that we could pitch in the designated spots for €6 per night (without electricity). Yesterday was Mika's birthday and we hiked up the mountain. Then we spent the whole afternoon sitting on a terrace drinking beer (sorry mom and dad). Last night we slept wonderfully among 10 other campers, and tonight we will sleep here again. The weather is lovely here; as I type this I am sitting on the terrace in a sweater with the sun. Today Mika went up the mountain himself and just had his first flight again. He has the GoPro with him, so some great footage will follow! Or follow the_fly_guy_24 on Instagram! (That's his account.)
